At MidAmerica Medical Spa, we are committed to educating the next generation of aesthetic professionals. Our Provider Shadowing Program offers a unique opportunity to observe our expert team in action, gaining firsthand insight into advanced aesthetic techniques and medical spa treatments. This experience will provide valuable exposure to the dynamic world of aesthetics:

Live Demonstrations:

We strive to cover as much as our schedule allows in addition to your individual interests, but could expect to cover majority of the following:

Patient Consultations & Creating Realistic Expectations:

How to take proper consultation photos and/or Before and After photos for comparison.

Patient and Provider discussion of the patient's cosmetic goals, treatment options, address concerns, and recommend suitable procedures based on patient needs.

Administering Non-Invasive Procedures:

Our skilled providers (Nurse Practitioners/Nurse Injectors) administer a wide variety of non-surgical cosmetic treatments such as Neurotoxins, Dermal Fillers, Bio-Stimulators, Laser Hair Removal, IPL-BBL Laser Services, Tattoo Removal, RF Microneedling, Microneedling and Coolsculpting.

Our highly skilled Esthetician performs all our skin services including HydraFacial's, Custom Facials, Microdermabrasion, Chemical Peels and Dermaplaning.

Observe Advanced Injection Techniques:

Dermal Fillers: Understand the use of hyaluronic acid-based fillers, their safety profile, and longevity.

Sculptra: Learn about the application of injectable poly-L-lactic acid for restoring facial balance and harmony

Botox/Dysport: Gain valuable tips on the proper administration of these neurotoxins.

Patient Education:

Our providers assure that patients are equipped and understand all pre- and post-procedure education for optimal results and comfort throughout their treatment journey with us. This includes explaining the treatment process, managing expectations, and ensuring patients follow proper aftercare instructions.

Record Keeping & Collaboration:

Our providers ensure and maintain detailed patient records, documenting treatment plans, progress, and any adverse reactions. Accurate record-keeping is crucial for patient safety and continuity of care.

Our team of providers work collaboratively with one another to optimize the patient's experience and ensure treatments meet health and safety regulations.

Performing Profitable Follow Ups & Managing Complications:

Post-treatment check-ins by ensuring patient recovery and progression of results have not only met but exceeded expectations to the best of our ability and the patient’s individual needs.

Tracking outcomes by assessing results, evaluating next steps, and adjusting current treatment plans.

Building strong relationships with effective follow-ups to maintain and establish trust and rapport between the provider and the patient. Our providers strive to educate our patients about long-term care by emphasizing the importance of maintaining results.

Given the variability of clinic days, we strive to align our schedule with your learning priorities. We are eager to create a custom experience that caters to your specific interests and/or needs within the Medical Aesthetics field as our normal clinic schedule allows. Please be sure to provide as much detail as possible within our application questionnaire so we can better accommodate your needs within your scheduled shadowing date. Pricing:

$1,000.00 - Full Day (8 – 10 hours)

8:00am to 5:00pm OR 10:00am to 6:00pm

$500.00 - Half Day (4 hours)

8:00am to 12:00pm OR 10:00am to 2:00pm

50% Deposit required for booking – Remaining 50% expected to be paid 1 week prior to shadowing date.

Additional Requirements:

Must be 18+ years of age to participate.

No certifications or licensure needed to participate.

Terms & Conditions

50% deposit to be paid at time of booking your shadowing date (once application has been approved we will reach out to organizing and booking a date). Booking deposit in non-refundable once paid to reserve your shadowing date. Rescheduling allowed without penalty to your deposit if notified at least 10-business days from original scheduled date.
